SOLLY Like so many of the cats that we are posting these days, Solly was rescued during the CoVid chaos of last summer, when so many cats and kittens needed assistance (more than usual). Both Solly and his sister Candi were found as young blind kittens who definitely wouldn’t have survived had they been left on the street. Aside from being blind, Solly was also in need of food and hydration. He’s changed dramatically (for the better) since his arrival at the Haven. He had his eye removal surgery in September. Solly is a friendly young cat, still a bit less than a year old. He gets on well with other cats, with the Haven dogs, and would fit in well with most family situations, including those with respectful and calm children. Given his lack of sight, Solly does need to be a housecat/indoor kitty. Some blind cats can be lead trained, or he could go out into a cat-secure garden under supervision. Free-roaming or being allowed outside on his own are not options. Like all of our cats, Solly has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated against standard cat diseases as well as rabies, and when he does travel, he will do so with his certificate from the laboratory certifying his rabies blood test. All adoption offers are subject to a successful homecheck and an adoption fee of £160 or local equivalent. Having a blind cat isn’t that much different than having a sighted kitty. If you’d like to talk about adopting a blind cat, about Solly in particular, or learn more about our adoption process in general please send me a PM. Either me or another member of our Admin team will be back in contact with you. If you’re not in a position to adopt right now, would you please consider helping us by sharing Solly’s profile? xx IDEAL HOMEINDOOR ONLYCARE & NEEDSREADY TO TRAVELNOWAGE11 MONTHS (FEB 2021)HOPING TO GIVE THIS KITTY A LOVING HOME?REACH OUT NOW!
