LEMON

LEMON

Since we had such amazing success with getting an adoption offer for young Gary, we just had to tell you about Lemon, who came in the same cardbox box as Gary did.
Let’s begin with that rough start to life again. The week before Christmas, the first of our workers to arrive at the Haven in the morning found a box containing three young kittens, none of them in very good condition. They had eye infections, malnourished, bad colds, etc. There were two boys and one girl.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, each cat was sponsored and the initial sponsor were invited to name the cats. One of the cats, a handsome ginger and white baby, was given the name Lemon.
Although Lemon escaped the major eye infections that his siblings had when they arrived, he did have a cold, was malnourished and needed fluids. He also has some deformities in his front paws, but they don’t make any difference to his abilities to walk, play, jump, or use the litterbox.
This is a sweet, gentle boy who is about 6 to 7 months old. Like his brother and sister, he is now in search of his forever home and his own humans who will love and dote on him.
Lemon gets on well with other cats and given his personality, we anticipate that he would do well in most homes, including those with other felines, cat-friendly dogs, and gentle, respectful children. With the exception of just a few weeks before he arrived at our door, Lemon has only every known the safety of of the Haven, including its fully enclosed garden. He needs to have this kind of protection in his new home, either as an indoor kitty or with a catio or fully cat-safe garden (with the special fencing). This is especially important due to the deformities in his paws -no exceptions, please.
All of our adoptions are subject to a successful homecheck (conducted via videocall), an adoption fee of £160 or local equivalent, and your signature on our Adoption Contract. Lemon would come to you neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated against rabies (with the requisite bloodtest and certificate from the laboratory). He also has been vaccinated against other standard cat diseases.
If you are interested in adopting Lemon, would like additional information, or would like to learn more about how adoption works with us, or even just more about the Haven in general, please don’t hesitate to send a PM. And if you are not currently looking for a cat, or if Lemon isn’t the right one for you, would you please help us find the right home for him by sharing this post, or by sharing our website (http://www.safehavenegypt.cat).
As always, thank you for your support! x
