BLOSSOM This is such a fitting name for this beautiful, strong girl. Blossom spent the first year of her life on the street, and it was a rough one. She used to live next door to a fish monger, eating any scraps or bones that would be thrown in her direction. Unfortunately, one day someone either threw something heavy or hit Blossom in the face, fracturing her jaw. A passer-by found Blossom and brought her to the Haven. Jaw surgery was needed so that she would be able to eat again. During her initial stages of recovery in January 2020, Blossom had to be fed by a syringe. Even then, it was obvious that this was a special, sweet, affectionate cat. She wanted attention and affection everytime someone passed by the recovery cage that she was in. (I was lucky enough to meet Blossom in person last January right after her operation and then see her a month later in February). It’s been over a year since the operation and Blossom is now just waiting for an offer of a forever home. Her jaw has healed well and she eats completely on her own. She also has been spayed, mircrochipped, vaccinated against standard cat diseases and rabies. When she does travel to her adopter’s home, she will do so with her laboratory certificate with her rabies blood test result. At about two years old, Blossom does love her food, so her adopter will need to make sure that she doesn’t get heavy. After spending the first year of her life on the street and constantly looking for her next meal, she still looks at any meal as potentially her last. Given her history and spending the past year plus within the safety of the Haven, Blossom needs to be a housecat/indoor kitty. Other acceptable options would be if you have a fully secured garden with the special fencing intended to keep cats in. This is an affectionate, sweet cat who would love her own human(s) to dote on her. Might you have the home for her? All our adoptions are subject to an adoption fee of £160 or local equivalent, which goes towards the cost of the cat’s flight. Our actual costs are at least twice that amount, so any donations above the £160 are gratefully accepted and appreciated, but certainly not required. In addition to the Adoption Fee, there needs to be a successful video homecheck. If you are interested in offering May a forever home or would like to learn more about our adoption process and how it works, please feel free to send me a private message. Either myself or one of the other Admins will respond back within a day. And if you are not in the market for adopting right now, would you please consider sharing this profile in other groups? We have found that the more a post is shared, the quicker we are able to find an adopter!
